connect Ableton to PT through VACs
Hello
For sound-design purposes in picture i'd like to use the complex efx and automation possibilities of Ableton on some edits made in my PT-timeline. It worked so far by sending the audio in PT to Ableton (in standalone since ReWire doesn't allow VST use in Ableton) through Aux-tracks that are routed to the 1st pair of virtual inputs that the Apollo Twin Mk1 provide (AI i use) and then from Ableton i send the affected signal back through the 2nd pair of virtual inputs, who come back on another Aux-track in PT straight to an Audio track for rendering. The thing is that i need at least 10 pair of virtual inputs for the layering i yearn for, and the Apollo Tin only provides 2 pair.. An aggregate device isn't an option when Windows-user so i was looking to Audinate Dante Via but it says in the manual that it only supports 2 x 2 channels for interconnecting software applications. Any other way of achieving this? greets, Nicolas
