since cs3 intermittent UAD/Wrapped plugs delay comp problem

Hi,

With cs3 when inserting a wrapped plugin or UAD plugs etc the delay compensation doesn't always work and doesn't display any reading in the DC window. I have to de-activate then re-activate the plugin for it to work

This has happened 4-5 times since yesterday with UAD

I keep getting weird different audible Left-Right/Overall delays going on when tracking (using a master Aux bussed to a master audio track with the green 'I' on) which disappear if I enable then disable Delay Compensation in the Options menu. The problems usually start when I put a track in record, or after new tracks are created. Not sure if it's UAD related though... This was happening in CS2 and continues in CS3...

And furthermore, I just had looping audio and crash when editing in Melodyne.

Its not a show stopper! but its something i have never seen before cs3.

Also today i have had to toggle delay comp on/off before it actually turned it off and gave zero latency monitoring.

Same here, melodyne and duende crashing and looping, PTHD8 have been nothing else but trouble

i downloaded the cs3 in my test drive.

i like how the logo says you are on cs3 when you launch now

it seemed ok....my eyes couldn't take but about 5 minutes of the GUI

i'll think i'll continue to stay in tiger and 7.4 with my clients

and play with my elephant when no one is around

Yeah, its sad, i´ve been on protools since the early beginning and if digidesign cant make it work we need to consider another solution, i love a working protools solution dont misunderstand me here, but protools is not there yet

Hi crizdee,

I've not had a delay comp problem with wrapped plugs, but when I installed cs3, it didn't recognise any of my wrapped plug-ins, so I had to re-wrap the whole lot. Only took 5 minutes, and they work fine, delay comp and all ...

Perhaps that might solve your problem ...
