Try out my recipe and see if does the same with you. I should have noted that I'm working at 48kHz, it may give different results at 44.1kHz or other sample rates.

Identifying the "tick" misalignment issue bug doesn't take any complex or involved procedures in my sessions.
In a simple 4/4, 120>119>120BPM session it happens.

Notes within MIDI clips get misaligned when copying clips to another location via Alt + drag or copy paste. The most rudimentary task of creating an instrument track.

Also can't apply the insert/cut time to a few simple bars without the whole project getting misaligned either.
Even worse, I've had to realign every single part when just changing the tempo of a a few sections by 1 BPM.
I like to fine tune the song tempo to the vocals during playback singing along and trying different tempos on the fly.

The notes are always shifted by approx a 128th note in my sessions; when trying to accomplish any of the aforementioned.
While barely noticeable to the eye, it results in flammed & crammed sounding performances when your drums and bass lines are off. Sometimes it'll just be a couple pieces of the drum kit/pattern that get altered when changing tempos.
It happens mostly to the sections which have varying tempos.

I'm glad I can get accurate results in PT11 but that's not what the past 2 years of renewals were for.
I hadn't worked on MIDI for a while during the advent of PT12 so didn't notice the issue until recently. I would have still kept renewing in hopes of a fix.

Being able to do these simple tasks within seconds to your arrangement is what makes MIDI so cool.

Sad thing is, some of the the beginners may not even notice what is happening to their MIDI grooves/arrangements.
Sometimes it's hard to notice audibly but you're feeling something that sounds different than it did an hour earlier. Your 64th snare flams aren't sounding quite as smooth during the transitions. Or the kick and bass sound flummy.

Ya zoom in to take a look and...Yup....ERRONEOUS!!!! [in the manner of Vince Vaughn]

Blameless is the man that does not give way to a barrage of expletives at this point.

Couldn't have said it better!

S1 V5 looks absolutely awesome, and Avid have until my renewal is due to fix this ridiculous and majorly long standing bug and also implement ARA if not it's S1 baby forever!

Yes, studio one 5 looks great. Unfortunately it still has the balance instead of dual pans on stereo tracks
