MP3 option Authorisation problem

Hello
I just installed my Protools 7 on a second drive (same computer). When I want to authorize my MP3 option the code is not accepted.
I have two codes, but none of them work. (the authorisation code worked within 6.9.3 and PT5 version)

I installed the mp3 codec update from CD, but this doesnt help. The code is not accepted

To install on Mac OSX when you have problems with the MP3 Option you'll need to do the following:

Run the Pro Tools 7 HD, LE, or M-Powered installer application again
Put a check mark ONLY in the box next to "MP3 Codec Update"
Uncheck ALL other check boxes, including the Pro Tools check box
Follow the prompts in the installer application
Installing the MP3 Codec Demo first, then installing the MP3 Codec Update also works.

You may also need to update to the latest version of the PACE InterLok drivers

Problem solved!

Authorisation was not possible even after installing mp3 codec update from CD

So I have copied the file "activations.txt" from my working 6.9.3 installation
to the Protools7 partition.

path: user/name/Library/Preferences/Autorisation Preferences/activations.txt

This solved my problem. All is working now

I also have this problem. So, I copied the file from the old G4 with 6.9.3 installed. But, on the G5 there's already a file called "activations.txt" in the folder. How can I do this? Can I just merge these two files somehow?

I deleted the codec folder and I did a fresh install including codec update.

Protools did not accept my codes. So i replaced the activations.txt with the file from my old installation.

Sometimes things work that should not work ????
