Default PT 7.3.1cs4 Command 8 Bug

PT 7.3.1cs4 does not recognize the Command 8. In the peripherals menu under Midi Controllers when you select the Command 8 there are no Receive or Send ports to select thus it can't communicate. I have tried this with a couple of different computers a Mac Pro and a G5 Dual 2.3 Ghz PowerPC. I then reverted back to 7.3.1cs3 and everything appears to be ok. Then just to make sure I went back to 7.3.1cs4 and I'm unable to select the ports. I use OS 10.4.8. Has anyone else had this problem?
