M-Audio midi keyboard not recognized

I've seen this all over the Internet, but can't find a solution. Running the latest Pro Tools by subscription on Windows 10 64 bit laptop (I know, I know)... The M-Audio Oxygen 61 Blue works on other programs (Mixcraft, Kontakt, etc.) with no problem. But when I add a track, instrument, etc. (and I am doing that part right) the midi fails to pass through to the input of whatever instrument (take Mini grand for example). I can click with my mouse on the keys on the keyboard and I get sound. But no midi input from my midi keyboard is working. This is weird - it DID work ONCE, but then failed ever after. I've tried re-installing the m-audio drivers, tried EVERY combination known on the channels, etc... is there some driver issue with M-AUdio?

I should also add that I DO have the MIDI THRU already selected

Hi, A couple of things to check - is the keyboard listed under MIDI Input Devices from the top Pro Tools menu? Also, make sure Instruments are showing on your Mix window (also from the top View menu I believe) - which is where you need to set your MIDI In/Out channels. Also, make sure the instrument track in in record, unless you have the "use first MIDI track" option enabled in Preferences,
