Default Real World Mixes w/ Mac Mini

Ok guys, I´m planning to get rid of mine 001 and G4 533 DP and go for a 002R and Mac Mini 1.42 until I can get a G5.
But I´m scarred that the Mini won´t be able to do what I do w/ my actual G4. Can you guys comment on mixing with the Mini and PT LE?
Thanks for any info!

Mixing???? Sure...
Soft Synths? Not so well.

I can mix with a past session of 15 tracks 10 or so waves Rennaisance Channel, 1 RVerb,
4-5 RComp and REQ, 1 Maxim with 50 - 60 % CPU.

Mac MINI 1.42Ghz + LaCie D2 triple interface using USB2.0 + 002R.

I don´t use soft synths at all. But what I do need is horsepower.
I have a LOT of sessions that run close to 32 tracks w/ something like this:
3-4 focusrite d2 4-6 band
2 focusrite d3
2-3 Pultecs (the 3 band one)
Ren Vox
Amplitube
3-4 Digi 1 band EQ
I use external verbs, that´s how I can still have my G4 powerfull enought.
Anyone else has comments?

I know you don't want to hear it, but I run sessions like that all the time for a third the cost of a G5.

So can I. I can do 24tracks at the famous DaveC.
My older gigabyte mased pc could do the same too.
But, i kept upgrading and changing all the time.
It was more expensive than my 599 mac mini at the end.

I am glad you like your machine.
I like my music.
Simple and cheap will do.

Sorry guys, switching to a PC is not an option, at least at my studio. My G4 works almost 24/7 since october 2001.
My wifes video editing Athlon XP 1.7 wish to work like that....
