Default PT10+CPTK to PT11HD : whatchoice in store ? both iLoks inserted ?

Hi, I definetely need help/solid advice on two practical things before upgrading to PT11HD.

1. Which selection in the Avid Store : "PT9/10+CPTK to PT11HD" or "PT10+CPTK to PT11HD" ?

Background :
I installed some months ago PT10+CPTK on a new laptop; but to do that, I first needed to install PT9, then CPTK, then uninstall PT9, then install PT10 (installing PT10 directly, followed by installing the CPTK gave a message "no version of PT9 found")

My licenses :
Pro Tools 10.0 Upgrade from PT9 10/21/11
Licenses: Pro Tools 10+9 Bundle

Complete Production Toolkit 2 from DVTK2 (Download only) 01/20/11
Downloads : Complete Production Toolkit 2 v9.0.2 (Mac) for Pro Tools 9
Licenses: Complete Production Toolkit 2, X-Form, Neyrinck SoundCode Stereo

Pro Tools LE to Pro Tools 9.0 Crossgrade 12/18/10
Licenses: Pro Tools 9

DV Toolkit 2 12/08/09
Licenses: DV Toolkit 2, TL Space Native, DINR LE, VocAlign, DigiTranslator, MP3 Option

DV Toolkit 2 Amnesty 12/08/09
Licenses: DV Toolkit 2, X-Form

Pro Tools LE 8.0 Upgrade 10/07/09

Pro Tools LE 6.x to 7.4 Upgrade 07/03/08

So, should I go for "PT9/10+CPTK to PT11HD" (it looks like, but I am insecure) ?
Or am I forced to buy the more expensive "PT9+CPTK to PT11HD" upgrade ?


2. PT9/PT10/CPTK2 are on the iLok (1st Generation), nothing yet on the iLok (2nd Generation) :
I must insert both at the same time into the computer , or , transfer the previous licenses from iLok1 to iLok2 before surrendering/transfering the PT11HD license ?


Solid advice would really be appreciated !

I have exactly the same history with licenses and upgrades. This morning I purchased the PT10+CPTK to PT11HD upgrade and I get only errors when I try to register...

Any specific error messages ?
Will you go for exchanging PT10+CPTK-to-PT11HD with PT9/10+CPTK-to-PT11HD or PT9+CPTK-to-PT11HD ?

If you find your solution, I would be immensly grateful, if you could share that again !

My last license says "PT9/10 bundle" , so correct might be PT9/10+CPTK-to-PT11HD

I'm not the only one with this problem. Probably caused by a wrong upgrade purchase...:

Ah I think I've fallen into this hole too. Started with 9 but only had CPTK with 10. Bought the 10CPTK - 11HD, registered ok...but now when I try to put the iLok asset onto my iLok it say's.."no asset found to surrender". Curses.

It'll be looking for a 10 asset when mine is the 9/10 bundle.

Hi

I think that doesn't matter as those licenses are in the same locked bundle so give it a few hours and see if iLok will correct this. They are still working on it so I would wait a few hrs before I try again

Also the Avid Mods pops their heads in here quite often so if it ain't fixed soon PM one of the Mods and they will know more then us users

Thanks for that, you may be right Chris, so I will wait a little more before going down the path below.

Meantime I decided to phone Avid support line, I was sent a link to refund and return...and thus start again with a new purchase. Unfortunately this is a convoluted process involving "a letter of destruction" for a downloaded product plus a 10 day turn around. Oh what a tangled web.

The licenses 9/10 bundle and just 10 may be the same but with different names? All I know is my new 10CPTK to 11HD wants to surrender a "Pro Tools 10" license when I have a "9/10 bundle license" currently on my iLok and it's not working.

I even thought about this before madly pushing the "buy" button...I was tired! Got it wrong.

I think you might have better luck in this thread as a few really good Moderators are there now so they can help you get sorted much quicker then waiting here
