Exactly. Especially when a tiny thing like iLok can represent much k$. I think that there is still a lot of people who don't tend to see the iLok as a "gear"... but it's important to realize that guys that work ITB have majority of their expensive (more or less) studio gear in a USB flash-disk format.

Exactly. I have PT9, The CPTK, Mercury Native and all the RTAS Digi plugs on an iLok. Plus 3rd party stuff. It doesn't leave the Studio. Ever. I picked up a extra PT9 from EJ and use that with my laptop.

You need to think of your iLok as hardware. Were I to lose a Les Paul Gibson is not going to give me another.
