Default Protools 9 - Audio Interface to replace Mbox

Hi, I'm running Protools 9 on a PC with Windows 7. I sold my mbox as I didnt like the pre amp. I bought a Golden Age Pre 73 (like Neve 1073). I want to record from my Pre 73 pre amp direct to Protools 9 on my PC. Most of the audio interfaces on the market these days, seem to come with pre amps and mic inputs (which I already have with my Pre 73 pre amp). Can anyone recommend an 24 bit 96 Khz audio interface that just has minimum inputs, and includes a 1/4" balanced line input?

The Firestudio Mobile has six balanced line inputs:

Is also 96k compatible.

RME Fireface 800 is nice, Motu has some nice producs

RME
Motu
Focusrite

those three re pretty solid. all interfaces have those line inputs either built into the pre input with the option to switch between mic/line/inst. mode and some have the pre on the front and line on the back of the interface.

uh... correct me if I am wrong... but couldn't you have just run the pre through the line in jack on the mbox. Wouldn't that have bypassed the mbox preamp?

I think the line in on the old Mbox still ended up going through the preamp, which may have been an issue for him.

Yes you are right- I can totally bypass the pre on the mbox by plugging my golden age pre 73 into the fx inserts on the mbox 1- only probalem is, Avid have decided that you cant use the mbox 1 with PT 9 (but you can use hardware from any other brand or company!
