That's correct...

I'm going to test this shortly, but wanted to be sure I'm understanding what you're saying.
Any word on this yet?

Hey Brian, give Digi time to respond, they'll come good. As long as they have it sorted by PT's 8!

One way I've worked around this is to set up my regular templates (stationery pads) with the master faders delay bypassed. It took a few saves, quits, rinse & repeat until every MF had been fixed & then I saved that as my new template. Now every time I use those templates I don't have to worry about it.

My apologies - this got logged to be looked into, but things have been a little delayed due to preparation for Pro Tools 8 release.

I'll make sure this is looked at today and we'll reply by 4pm PST.

Gentlemen - can you explain exactly what you're seeing that makes you believe the reported delay on MF tracks are affecting other tracks?

The reason I ask - nothing I'm doing shows that. Disabling ADC on MF's should have no affect on other tracks, as you can't disable what isn't there.

I've missed things in the past because I can't see exactly what you're doing and how you're working, so please be as explicit as possible. The devil is in the details, as they say.

I will be more explicit when I get back to the studio... but for now...

Let's say I have a simple (ha) session.

kik
snr
oh left
oh right
bass
Master Fader

Now, I have Drumagog Fixed Latency on the kik and snare (this bumps ADC on the tracks up to like 3500+). The rest of the drums are compensated for. And the drums play back in time.

Now, insert something insane like the the new T-Racks on the Master. That bumps Master ADC up to 20,000 (yes twenty thousand). Waves Lin Phase stuff is also hefty btw. Anyways, that massive number is over ADC, which moves the Drumagog tracks into the red and out of whack.

In the past, I could disable the ADC on the master and it would keep the drums in the orange ADC wise. Now, I cannot do it. Sessions that had it disabled still work. But new ones will not work like that.

Hope this makes more sense to you.

Can you post a before and after screenshot of that?

Plug-ins on MF should not be affecting ADC on other tracks - I want to be able to show these screenshots to someone in engineering and see what they can make of it. It's definitely not normal.

Well I don't know where you've been looking but this has been the case since as long as I can remember (PT 6.4 onward...) The bug where you can't hard bypass the delay on the MF's or Aux channels is a new problem though. Have you tried to replicate what we've put down as examples in this forum?
