Video not showing

Hello everyone, I'm new here so I'll do my best to be clear and respect forums chart.
So I'm having a video issue in pro tools 11.3.2. The video is .mp4 with H264 codec.
While it is playing normally if oppened with quicktime, inside pro tools I only see black frames, (block view has no result) and the video window is showing nothing but the background. Something like a GUI problem.But the transport cursor is working properly.
I tried and red already a lot of discussions on similar issues but with no luck.
I also know that my laptop is not at all convenient for working with videos (see specifications at the end). But it just looks strange to me this sort of issus. I mean why showing nothing. I d understand if it has been freezing or something.
One thing that worked for a bit is installing ASIOFORALL driver. That way I managed to play video normally for a while, but after stopping it, it never lanched again.

Would somebody have any propositions or ideas for sharing?

You only have 4 gig of ram and that is nowheres near enough for PT11 let alone working with video. You need to, if possible, to go to at least 8 gig of ram. Not to mention the rest of your system is WAY underpowered.
