Default Dedicated trim button

I currently have a D-Control which I love. Two of the features I use most are the Bank Select section and the Trim buttons on every fader.

Does this new system have either?

Yes there are banking buttons in the S6 master module. However you really need to see how much quicker and more powerful banking around is by using the track matrix or Universe Bar on the Master module touchscreen. It is a huge workflow speed improvement for surface navigation. There are two methods;

1. You can see 72 track boxes on the track matrix view and swipe down through your session to see more tracks if needed. Then touch the desired track and it will bank the console such that the selected track is just to the left of the master module with the adjacent tracks in the session around it.

2. If you color your tracks, you can touch the color of the section you want on the universe bar and the 8 track boxes below the bar will show you a close up of tracks around the section you touched. You then simply touch the track you want to center the session on, and it will assign it to the left of the master like above. It really is a very fast way of navigating your session without needing set up layouts or custom faders. Especially if you color your tracks by their "food group" or your editors do that before delivering the session to the mixer.

Regarding trim; by holding the attention button and the M button next to the fader on each channel will turn on trim. Also, there are four soft keys on every channel in the fader module. In future software you could assign trim to one of these buttons.
