Default PT Acting up!

Hello... Recently my PT8 has been acting up. When I open a session, there is this horrible scratching noise coming from an Aux where I have a reverb and it won't stop until I press play. Also, plugins are not responding. You click on the "buttons" and "knobs" and it won't respond.

freaken - I am using the Lexicon bundle. I this a known issue?

lincol1 - I don't believe the plugins are bad since they work fine on other sessions... if i restart the computer it sometimes takes care of the problem. But mostly it's the Waves bundle Q EQs that give me the non-responsive problem.

I am using PT8 with a 002R. iMac 2.66GHZ 4Gb Ram.

Thanks for your help.
