Default what comes after PT M-Powered 8.05

Hi all,
I am currently using PT M-Powered 8.05 version with my old desktop WinXP. Thinking about upgrading both in the future. Is there any option for upgrading my 8.05 version to 9 version? I could not find that anywhere. The only option I could find is the crossgrade from MP to 11 version for 399$ but does this include also my 8.05 M-Powered version? I would appreciate for any other lower-budget option. (Well, other thing is, if any higher PT MP version would work on my WinXP...)
Any hint?
Thank you for answers and/ or suggestions.

saava

M-Powered was discontinued, so that's why there's no option for it. You might be able to buy a used license for MP9 from someone.

Don't waste further money .. is suggest: leaving the Pro Tools platform. There are some good alternatives (Cubase Artist, Reaper) even for low budget that have more options than the new pseudo pro (native) PT 11 ... choose an more open platform for the future. That's my opinion.

Greetings

Alex

There was a PT9 M-Powered, but that is 2 versions old now!

I'd go with the PT 11, it is open to any device manufacturer - You don't have to stick to Avid or M-Audio hardware. Also, I have to say the new audio engine is MUCH improved. I can use many more instances of plugs and don't have near the pops/clicks in playback.

Another thing to keep in mind is that any version older than PT 10 cant open the new PTX sessions.

One caveat is if you have a lot of RTAS plugins that haven't been upgraded to AAX.
