Default Re: Can't create 192kHz session on Pro Tools HD 10

So we tried today to connect just one 192IO to one of the TDM cards, without any word clock or any other type of sync.

It is the usual card it gets connected to, so it is the right type of card (CORE) and it usually works.

The 192 didn't seem however to lock or connect to the TDM card.

Maybe the SYNC HD is needed because the cards are in a Magma expansion chassis (PE6R4-I)?

Or maybe there's just some kind of weird thing going on with this particular 192.

In your playback Engine, I seem to remember the number of voices you have selected effects the sample rates available. .

Try setting it to the smallest number of voices, then see if you can make a 192 kHz session.

No the sync HD is not needed. You need to troubleshoot stuff and work out what is going on. Swapping components/cables carefully and using Digitest.

Thanks Darryl, knowing the SYNC HD is not needed really helps.

We'll troubleshoot and update if we find the solution.

Thanks everyone for all the help!
