Default How to double-time a MIDI region?

Question for you PT MIDI experts:
Lets say I have a 2 bar MIDI region in 4/4 containing 8 notes (1 quarter note per beat).
Is there some region editing command in PT to change it into a single bar region
playing twice as fast, ie change it into a single bar with 8 8th notes.

For those of you who know Sibelius
this would be like using the "Double Note Values" or Halve Note Values plugins.

I've RTFM'd but can't find it.
thanks...

Also, if there was a utility program that would do this on MIDI files, that would be almost as good.

PS -- the ****** manual is a PDF file in your help menu.

You can search it. hence, the acronym STFM; Search The...

It took me 8 seconds to find page 425 answers your question.

Thanks to all! It wasn't in the hardcopy index (I looked at every entry that said MIDI),
but you guys are right that a STFM would have found it, so I will make a point of
doing that next time.
