Tried the above to no avail. Pt starts when TLC turned off, but after TLC on again and several restarts - same again PT does not start. TLC renewal procedure intervenes again. In that TLC procedure, as I point to my dongle as the source of activated, and non-expired licenses, next window asks licenses it again - along with a link to purchase. ...

I then press quit, and pro tools hangs, now non-responsive.

And when looking at the dongle using iLok mgr, indeed there are activated, and non-expired license on it.

What is going on here. I really need HELP

what to do?

Good clarification. However the renewal procedure initiated when starting up
PT does not come to completion.

And all attempts by me to refresh manually using the refresh button to the right of the TLC on-off slider is futile

Also the procedure proposed by TOM, didn't work out.

What to do. I need HELP on this.

It is better to renew on iLok License Manager. Would not trust any other way. And if it does not work there, you have iLok support to contact.

Try moving your PT license to the Cloud and run from there until the TLC auth catches up. It may take a day. You could also try re-synchronizing your ilok.

Spotted something here.
In the iLok mgr it says "Last refresh sön jul 12 7.32". This as a result of me tampering with it back and forth several times, and the last time of manual refresh was obviously 7.32

And the clock on my PC says 19.05 = 7.05. No summer time adaptation. So perhaps the TLC renewal isn't "valid" until my PC clock says that time is past 19.32...

... in 19 minutes.

My PC is not doing summertime clock. I'll have to fix that obviously.

That seems to have been the culprit - PC clock not set to summer time made TLC renewal into a "one hour into the future event" on the PC. So any attempts at fixing the issue was doomed to be futile until the hour difference had passed. So when tampering and trying new attempts at renewal, the renewal time stamp was put forward every time i refreshed the TLC. And so the hour of futility was restarted. And an hour is quite enough to come back again and try the same thing again and again, thereby restarting the futility hour, giving plenty time for tampering, resetting the futility hour, giving plenty of time for tampering...

Lesson learned : Have your PC set up to be a nice and good netizen in temporal harmony with the crowd.

PT starts fine now

Sorry about all this, and yet THANKS a lot for your support and suggestions. It meant a lot, not being all alone with a case of "lost licences".
