Default Mirrored Midi Editing Ghost?

So, I'm not sure what's happening here...

I repeated a drum region several times, turned off mirrored midi, etc. And yet, when I try to modify the drum loop, it still alters every subsequent loop in the same manner (same can be said for synths, etc). I know I'm missing something simple here...and after quite an internet search, I'm still stuck. Any ideas?

I think you have to turn off mirrored midi editing before you repeat the region (clip)

If you're using the loop trim tool, it just creates aliases of your original (it will show little arrows on the bottom of the loops) that follow the original regardless of your mirrored setting. . To create discrete clips, use cmd+D or option-drag the region. Then they behave according to the Mirrored MIDI Editing setting.

That's the thing--I did option-drag. That's why I'm so confused.

Would you mind taking a screenshot of your edit window?

Will this suffice? This isn't the exact session I was talking about. But, as I had it open, I thought I'd test it. Sure enough, same result. I'm really looking forward to a "You're dumb. Click *this*." Truly, this is frustrating...

Nope, you're not dumb, you have everything in order. Mirrored Midi Editing is off, your MIDI clips are discrete.

Try renaming the subsequent MIDI clips, maybe that will "break" the association.

After that, I'd say the best thing to try at this point is to trash preferences. If that doesn't do the trick, try to find out if this is happening to all sessions or just certain sessions.

Man, I've tried ALL of this. It's happening everywhere, every session.

I'm losing my mind. There's gotta be some simple little dialogue box I checked or need to check...

Anybody?
