Default Mbox makes noise in the headphones

Yes, again a post on mbox noise.

I have tried to search on this topic, but no luck.

There is continous noise in the headphones and it changes when i move the mouse cursor on the screen. The noise is there even when the phones level is at zero and it doesen't get louder when I turn the level up. If I'm pressing a control (for instance a plug in level) and holding the mouse button down the noise is gone, however it is back when I let go of the button.

The noise also alters some if I fiddle with the usb plug on the mbox. I have also tried other usb cables but no difference.

Any one experienced this?

Any help would be greatly welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I tihnk all Mboxes do this. The important thing is that this whineing does does not affect the recording at all so for me its not a big deal.If this whine was present in my recordings i would sent my Mbox back but this is not the case.Every Mbox ive ever used had that whineing noise.I just ignore it.

Many people have had success with the Monster usb cable witch is heavily sheilded.I don't think you have to use digi's usb cable that came with the Mbox.

Have you tried plugging a guitar cable into the mBox and the other end into a grounded input on an amp etc? I have found that this sometimes works, especially for laptop users. If you are using a desktop machine you might want to ensure that the motherboard has one connection to the case and that the case is grounded via the mains cable.

Also if there is a serial port for the mouse use that rather than a USB mouse.
