Default USB C audio interfaces?

I am starting to see some models showing up by : UA / M Audio / and most recently presonus.

Has anyone had any experiences with any of these? Thoughts?

Hi lampmusic,
To be clear, our Apollo X interfaces are Thunderbolt 3, not USB-c. While these two share a common connector form-factor, they are in fact different protocols.

Please let me know if I can answer any specific questions you might have.

Twins are TB2 but we only support TB3 on the PC with the Startech TB3-2 adaptor.

This is due to MS not supporting TB at the OS level until Win10 Anniversary Edition.

So the reason this interface isn’t mentioned is b/c USB-c and USB3 are different, I assume?

This is probably the older version as well right?

Correct. Our USB products are PC only and for users that don't have TB.

BTW, rumor has it that USB4 will adopt Thunderbolt 3 as its spec.

Interesting, i didn’t know that either.

Yes I would guess that’s late 2020 before we see those in the wild....(earliest)

Heck I’m still using FW800 for remote gigs

I ordered one of the M-Audio USB C interfaces. It's on back order, so once I actually get it, I'll give it a test and see how it compares to the USB 2 interfaces. I like the idea of a USB-C interface, even though you can argue that USB 2 is fast enough.
