MBOX line vs inst???
I just purchased MBOX and installed.
I noticed that there is source selector for each preamp. What is the difference between line and instrument? Is it the voltage different of incoming signal?? NE1 knows?? Please advise. Thanks. Jin |

Re: MBOX line vs inst???
Line and inst. use the same quarter inch jack but inst. will have a higher impedance so you can plug a guitar or bass in without a DI and not load down the pickups which makes the sound dull and not as loud and present. A line input is usually around 10K impedance while an instrument input(or Hi Z) is anywhere from 50k on up to 2 Meg(ohms).
