Default superior Drummer Causing Pro Tools To Crash

[B]I recently installed Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.0 and within a few minutes I get a PT EXE error and my computer crashes.
It happens every time I try to run the program.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks.

Avid doesn't own toontrack, so why or how would they do something. I run it all the time.
The only time it crashes for me is if I don't set at least 1 output in the mixer to 1/2.
I started a thread about that here.
Make sure in the mixer (in SD) that at least one of the outputs are set for 1/2 out. If not it will crash PT. It is a bug in Superior Drummer.

So Toontrack bears no responsibility? Other large-footprint VIs don't seem to have this problem.

Don't get me wrong, I love Superior Drummer but it is definitely a memory hog. On older versions of PT (and especially if you are using XP), there are things you have to do to make it work.

Its hard to help when we have no info on your system.
Help us help you - what you need to know before posting!
And update SD2 to the latest update version(I think its 2.21). Anytime a plugin causes problems, checking for an update is the first thing to do.

+1

It's an odd bug, but that's what makes it a bug.. As long as I mind this, it works perfectly for me... a great program too btw.

Yep. I like the program a lot, and set up a 1/2 bus and mute it then that covers the bug.
