Default Logic 7 DVD (Coming Soon) Request Thread

hello everyone

Some friends of mine are putting together an instructional Logic 7 DVD

I want to pitch in and help them out so I'm posting this request thread
since i think there are a few guys like me that would like to get a grasp on Logic too
and how it can expand my recording/home studio experience experience.

so if anyone would like to request anything to see in the DVD
then please post it here.

My personal request: (Since, I never used Logic before)

1. How to make it work (Interface) with ProTools the right way (what PT version works best)
2. File interchange between both programs
3. If it can be used as a slave to run all MIDI and PT as the Master (Audio)
4. Can I do 5.1 with Logic and my 002R?

so with that in mind
let's start this thread

Happy New Year Everyone!
regards,
CJ

Hey,

To be a little less sarcastic, I would pretty much ask for the same information your asking for. I think you pretty much have it covered there. You may want to post this at a place like here to get a better response. Maybe there are not enough users here to help you out or that need to be helped out.

Well I use logic on a seperate machine, with PT on the other. Something showing how to sync them both together would be good. I.e. hit play on PT and logic is in sync, and vice versa.

Omni,
I am a long-time PT user and I decided to try Logic Express 7 to see if this can be an alternative for me. What seems so intuitive in PT seems so clandestine in Logic. Here are things I would like to see:
1. How to set up Logic to snap audio regions to grid as in Grid mode in PT. Then, how to do so.
2. A clear explanation of the "Environment."
3. Reveal the Pro Tools equivalent functions in Logic, ie: Snap to Grid, Nudge, Spot, Slip, Group tracks for Arrange and Mix Windows, etc....
Thanks in advance,
