Firewire noice
When I'm playback a session from my firewire drive (7200rpm 9ms) there's a horrible noice sounding (audio), even with only one track with editings. A 32track session without editings is ok.
Somebody please help me!! ibook 700mhz Osx 10.2.6 PTLE 6.1. |

Re: Firewire noice
Noise from where? Out of your audio outputs? From the physical drive itself? If it's from the drive itself, it could be going bad. Might want to back up everything and run tests on that drive.

Re: Firewire noice
I have a Maxtor 80 gig that makes a whining noise come out of my unpowered monitors whenever it's within a foot or so of them. None of my other FW drives do this. It's harmless, as far as I can tell.
