Definitely not fixed in 12.7.1 on Windows 10.

Granted, the particular video file on my current project is an H.264-encoded MP4. I have asked editorial for a DNxHD-encoded version, which I'm hoping will alleviate the playback errors I'm experiencing. But, still, I shouldn't have to.

Any fellow Windows users tried MTCVideoSlave with any success?

Yes, Aja Kona 4
DNX36 or better
Video Drive is SSD as is all the cards on the machine .
All machines run PT12.7 and are HDX EXCEPT the Video machine which is
an Avid Native card. All systems using Avid Sync HD.
All machines are fed "Word Clock".No looping of Word clock.
There are another few items I will list tomorrow when I am at work.

Marti, do you have an updated thread on the AVE problems? I have nothing but problems with PT 12.7.1 and Decklink card. I have to disable the video engine, then re-enable it or PT crashes every time.

Video running really well here. My system is pretty modest compared to Marti's:

Mac Pro 6,1 AJA T-Tap, OS 10.12.5, PTHD 12.7.1, DNxHD videos in MXF wrappers from Adobe Media Encoder. No problems at all. Butter-smooth performance, no visible dropped frames. If I loop an insanely short bit of audio for a long time, I might get an AVE error. Other than that, no complaints.
