I have to say, the gain reduction meters are absolutely killer! For that matter, the meters in general are so much better and the options are many..

I'm really liking 11.

Love the new metering in HD11

Looks expensive and great functions with them. Longer bigger better

I missed them ... maybe because I read the installation note suggesting launching PT11, then closing it so that the folders for the 64 bit AAX plugins is created properly before installing more plugins!

You don't, by any chance, happen to have CPTK do you?! :)

Righty27: No no cptk here. They disappeared after the next startup.

Just wanted to rule out the possibility that this may only be happening for users with CPTK ... as if the CPTK withdrawal may have been a late decision and there was still a bit of feature-unlocking code! :)

It’s nice to know I wasn’t imagining this when I originally posted this, but just a quick note to say my installation is just PT11 with 10.3.6 native with no CPTK or any bolt on extra (What people call ‘vanilla’ ?) on Win 7 64 Bit.

I would just say the meters look very useful for just glancing across the faders and instantly picking up where compression is being applied, alas just not in Native !
One thing is for sure though and that is this feature is not tied to HD alone and could be utilised on any version which makes me feel a little gutted !

Like I said previously it’s a bit of a tease ! ‘Look what you could have had if you spend thousands with us ! ha ha !’

Anyway enough said on the matter, roll on the ptiep release in aax2 so that I can give PT11 a full workout !

Cheers

Clive

I would be very surprised if that is by accident.
Giving you a peak of HD features just to show you what you are missing out on is a great way to up sell products.
HD native card on EBAY $1400 and a 192i/o $900

If $2300 is to much to use Pro Tools HD, then I seriously doubt your dedication, unless its just a hobby

Hands up ! Yep it's a hobby (and very enjoyable too !). Alas the realms of HD would be 'a bridge too far' cost wise, so the gain meters remain a tease !

Like I said though 'Oh well ' !

Cheerio
