Firmware Update has made Mbox 2 stop working.
I recently performed a firmware update on my perfectly working near mint condition Mbox 2. During the installation of the firmware, the internet stalled and caused the connection to the firmware updater to quit. This in turn left my Mbox 2 totally dead. It no longer recognized as being connected to the system. No lights turn on except when you push the channel buttons or the mono buttons.
I am more than hacked off about this. I'm totally dead in the water and can't continue on a project. There has to be a way to reset the hardware to factory default or get the Firmware installed. Here's what I've tried. 1. Re-installing the firmware. You can't. If the computer can't tell that there is an Mbox plugged in, it can't perform an update. 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled Pro Tools. Not sure why I thought this might help, but I did it anyway. Originally thought it was a Core Audio issue. 3. Called Avid - they want $$ before they'll talk to me. Ridiculous. Anyone out there have REAL solutions for this? Thanks in advance! |

Just for reference, though it seems moot.. I was updating from 1.38 to 1.43
