Default Fixed in 7.4?

There was a post about this bug a while back before 7.4 (couldn't find it in a search), just wondering if it has been fixed:

2 mono regions the same length on mono tracks are dragged onto a stereo track.
The stereo region is renamed.
Protools will NOT rename the regions with a .L and .R thus giving you two identically named mono regions in a stereo region.
Export as stereo interleaved and you get an identical file name prompt.

If the mono files are already named with a .L and .R before dragging it is not a problem.

Is this fixed in 7.4, or has it become a "feature"

Thanks in advance!
