I have had a good experience with the CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub. Seven ports, three are USB-C with power.

You may need to check the power rating. The one I use is a 60W device. It does a fine job with the 16” MacBook Pro M1.

Finally ended up buying a 16`MacBook pro m1 64gb /1tb and a RME babyface pro. And PT studio, now trying to glue all this together.

Anyway, thanks again for all inputs, if it wasn`t for these advice, I would have ended up with something else.

Which plugins are included?
Maybe there is an easy overview somewhere.
When I open a new session f.ex. only one 76 comp shows up.

You can look at the Pro Tools Studio product page to see which plug-ins are included.

On Avid webside these Reverbs and Delays plugs are listed as included in PT Studio.

First No clue what "comes up as alternatives" means
Second (if you have down loaded everything) are you choosing the correct plugin width option for the track width you are using ?

And backing up---- did you download the included but bundled separately AIR plugins et. al.

Many of them have their own installers.
Have you run the installers? Just running the Pro Tools installer doesn't put these other plugins there. The AIR plugins, for instance, are part of the AIR Effects bundle installer.

Thanks again for all help.

Finally downloaded plugins (stupid me) and everything seemed to work fine, until I was trying to open a session from my prev set up PT 10.3.
The session / files comes up with message error. Files do open but all tracks are empty and cannot be re-opened.

I have also tried to send / download the tracks as clips in a new session. Same things happens, empty tracks.

These files recorded in PT 10.3. My new setup is PT studio 12.1 which I just bought. My Mac Book pro M1 runs Sonoma 14.3.

Wonder what I do wrong?

Finally solved the empty audio tracks problem.
Apple logo, System Preferences, Security and Privacy, and give PT access.
