Default Strike MIDI note question

I noticed that there is a conflict between PT MIDI notation and Strike notation:

For instance Strike uses D#2 but PT MIDI notation uses Eb2 and therefore it won't play when I write for Eb2... Any ideas?

What's your Key Signature? And can you elaborate a little on what your trying to achieve?

Thanks, I changed the key signature and it worked. I was in C major. I was laying down patterns in the method you had suggested in one of your posts: Using PT MIDI notes to program Strike.

Another question: Is it possible to program more than one event at one time. For instance, I'd like to add a trigger cymbal crash to a Strike pattern is it possible to do that using the PT MIDI interface?

Use the 'Assignable Trigger Zone' (Blue Trigger Keys) C4-B5. To assign an Instrument right-click either of the Trigger Keys and mirror this on the Instrument Track.

Yes, that's what I've done. And it doesn't play the crash during playback. Could there be something in the settings preventing it from playing only the pattern?

thanks again for all of your help.

Hmmm... not to my knowledge. What Crash assignment are you using and at what pitch?

It was there, it was just too low in the mix.

Raise the Velocity Value (Track View) for the Trigger Keys.

Try Strike MIDI channel 2 on your crash MIDI track.

Possible, though, unnecessary.
