Default d con blinks and cure

just for other people's information, we just had one of our d controls fail by blining all the LEDs on just one fader car. all 16 channel's led indicator sections blinked on once every second. the faders worked and the leds displayed the correct info, but blinked.

cure: new LED switch mode power supply.

I didnt see a thread addressing this issue so I thought you all would like to know.

Hi, thanks for the tip. Our Icon went into the same "mode" today. Where do you find the LED switch mode power supply? that would be a great help. Regards Bruce

Call Digidesign tech support and tell them you need an LED PSU. If you are still under warranty they will cover it... duh... and if you are out of warranty they will let you know what your options are.

It is pretty easy to replace yourself if you are tech savy. Otherwise, digi has a great field service team, and ARC network that can help you out.

Maybe you have already done this, if not, I hope this helps.

Just an FYI to anyone who needs this part. It worked fine and was pretty easy to replace, all screws, no soldering to do. The LED PSU went out on 3 consoles within several months. Guess they had a finite life span.

Call/email Digi if you are under warranty, if not they will refer you to the ProAxess site.
