Dock working, S3 not appearing - same network?

Hi All

Appealing for assistance here - got an S3 last week and initially fired it up with direct connection to laptop with RJ45 cable and thunderbolt adapter while I was on the road. All worked fine - appeared in Eucon, fired up protools and had faders dancing pleasingly.

Got back to my studio today and added into my system (same laptop - M1 Max MBPro 2022, Ventura, PT 2023.12.1, Eucon 2023.11, Avid dock & MTRX studio connected to TP link network switch) by simply connecting to adjacent port on TP link switch with RJ45 cable. In this configuration the S3 can't be seen be Eucontrol and when I revert to direct connection as per the original (straight into just laptop with thunderbolt adapter), I can't get it to work.

The puzzling thing here is the dock is stable and happy and swopping network cables between devices leads to the same outcome - dock finds itself and appears but S3 sits there doing nothing and isn't acknowledged in Eucontrol.

Have tried everything I can think of in terms of the normal problem solving things, power cycling, checked all cables, reverted to original setup, removed the added back in items but am stumped what to do next.

Any tips greatly appreciated buy this n00b!!
