Default java download manager is teh 5ux0r

Downloaded the PT8 install file first so there wouldn't be any interference. No problem there. Then proceeded to dl the 12GB of extras. Got 80+% completed when the DDM went blank on me and I had to force quit. Upon reopening, it did NOT recognize or allow resume of any of the files, some of which looked to be completely downloaded but still in .dlm purgatory.

Digi, please just give us normal download hyperlinks with mirrors and ftp option.

where did you get the 12Gig of extras ?

this is some thing I'm trying to work out at the moment.

The 4GB file to install pro-tools can't just be protools 8.

in the download section of mydigi I see

FXpansion BFD lite mac, and Celemony Melodyne Essentials and torqe le, but these only add up to about 1GB in size. No other downloads, so where are the 12GB of extras ?

I do see some loops such as big fish jazz loops etc etc, but I don't see anything like !xpand, or Eleven LE Free version, etc etc.

In your My Digi account next to Registered Downloads click the "view all" button.
Do the same under Third-party Codes too.

This is exactly what I've done in the above example and this is all I see

is

protools 8 upgrade file at 4 gig (I'm sure this must be more than just protools at that size.

some loops which are a few gig. and a thingxs like BFD lite, certainly not 12GB's worth of stuff and no Eleven or !expand.

I can post some screen shots if I'm not explaining it well.

Ah, my bad. I mistakenly included the 3+GB of v8 installation. All of the combined extras files (win versions) only add up to 8044.98MB. So no, there aren't 12GB of extras, only 8+GB. Thank you for correcting me.

Does it still suck to get bumped off a 8+GB download with no possibility of resuming?

I'm not normally a fan of download manager, however the digidesign one work faultless, downloaded everything no problems (apart from getting an initial connection when the server was busy, but worked really well.

I'm glad it worked for you. Too bad it didn't work so well for me.
Thank you for your input on the problem.
