SPDIF out on Digi rack 002

Hi, does anyone have this problem. I have a Presonus central station that I am trying to monitor through and cannot get the S/PDIF out from the 002 to be seen or heard on via PT 7.3, or 7.4, or 8.0. As soon as I open iTunes everything works. This has got to be something simple that I can't figure out.
