Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
A couple ideas.
You have AERO disabled? Killed you Antivirus druring the driver and Waves installs. I've had the problem you describe and did something clever to fix it, I wonder what that was. |

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
Hi Dave - Aero is disabled.
Antivirus is still on (AVG) - with which part of the process might that interfere? PT install? AMD driver install? Waves install? Any or all of the above? Is it a case of uninstalling EVERYTHING and reinstalling with no anti-virus? Is there a chance of that actually working? (obviously not a prospect I relish, but if it's a known real world problem I'll do it...) |

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
Usually a problem with an install.
I would ditch the ATI video driver and use the windows default, it's quick to do. Reinstalling Windows is a big pain in but I find a lot of times just doing a reinstall on programs is quicker than troubleshooting. I think PT still has a repair type reinstall. Do you use a Partition backup program? I use Paragon Drive backup, they have a free version that's never let me down. |

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
Go to windows device manager and select your video adapter then update drive - Browse - pick driver - select standard VGA
You'll need to reset the resoultion to match your monitor |

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
Running a D-Control on an HDX system PT10.1.1 w/ Waves 9.
In the "Focus EQ" area of the board, when I load any EQ from Waves the "In" lights do not light up. You can press them and they work on the GUI, but not on the board. AVID EQ's work like they are suppose to. Any thoughts? Or is this a bug with wave plugins? |

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
I think that would be a problem for me - I have a 3 monitor setup, I think I need the ATI driver for that, don't I?

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
Just a quick update - Waves support (who were v helpful) say it's an issue with my ATI HD5450 graphics card. Apparently some cards do have issues with Waves 9, and they're working on a fix. In the meantime, they've advised I revert to v8 til the fix.

Re: Waves 9 - no gui in PT10
My 2 cents only, but if you run an intel cpu, I would use an nVidia graphics card Waves 9 working fine here.
