Default Quick Punch Glitch Still Exists

The well documented "quick punch glitch" still exists for me in PT10 while using my 003r.

Vote for the fix here.

I am still unconvinced on VIA firewire controllers. For me, the glitch seems to come and go. I have days where I need to do a little edit on every punch, and other days where they are all clean I have no idea why

this is what i was afraid of. there's no way i'm upgrading when they haven't even fixed the bugs i'm getting in PT9 after a year, in their own hardware.

i got a business card from a guy at the AVID booth at AES last weekend, he said to e-mail him about this and he'd look into it.

i guess i'm calling his bluf!

I don't ever get a glitch that's recorded. It's only in the monitoring while punching. It's not the VIA chipset either. I installed a card with a TI chipset tonight, no difference.

Come on AVID, get it together! This is not a small issue. I do hundreds, if not thousands, of punches throughout the course of producing an album and neither I, nor my clients, appreciate hearing this glitch!! Get it together please.

I too am still experiencing this glitch in PT 10 on my 002r w/Windows 7 64 bit. Please fix this Avid. The persistence of this bug is a bit ridiculous.

Argh. OK. That's it. I was going to upgrade to 10 but no way. Not paying any money to buy this bug again. In.ex.cus.a.ble. Worst news in a year. Almost enough to make me switch platforms. If a DAW can't write to disk the exact words the converters send to it, all of them, and no others, what can it be relied on for? Pitiful.

I hqave myself a long time wrestling with avid for this stupid error with no luck ...right now the DTS told me hes gonna helpme with this issue that i beleive is the driver or the firmware. Ive tested my system with a fast track ( not pro ) and everything runs so smooth that is ridiculous ..im using the digi003 mixer and have this error since PT 8..
