Default pro tools backwards compatability

Hey, I just finished recording a song on a mac osx computer with pro tools 6.4, however in order to add some midi tracks I attempted to move the files to a windows vista pc with reason 4 on it, however the pc was running pro tools 7.4, and when I try and open the session files on the pc, it says end of stream encountered and I cant open the files any advice on how to open these files would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When you say move files, Do mean the whole session or just individual files. I open 6xx sessions in PT8 on a regular basis. One of my clients is updating older sessions as we speak. I usually do use MacDrive to import from MAC to PC though. And… is the “check for Mac/PC compatibility" box checked in the original sessions.
