Default I\'ve got the hardware, now how do I get the software?

I sent in my registration last week as a Win98 user. Now how do I go about getting my copy of ProTools LE?

ProTools 5.01LE is shipping! Yey!

If you are already registered for Pro Tools 5.0LE (either Digi001 or ToolBox), we are pleased to announce that you will receive the update for 5.01LE free of charge. It will take us about 2 weeks from this posting to duplicate masters and assemble the update kits, and about 2 weeks after that for the mailing facility to get them out to you.

If you are interested in purchasing an upgrade to ProTools 5.01LE, we will be offering upgrades for sale as soon as the free kits (above) have been issued to all our current users. That is to say, we expect to be able to start taking orders in approximately 2 weeks.

Please note that people who purchased 5.0LE for Mac but who registered as Windows users will receive the Windows update. If you are a Windows user and are concerned that you may not have registered as such, please call us at 650-842-6698. Otherwise, again, there is no need to call; all registered 5.0LE users will receive their update automatically via the above mailing.

Thanks for your support, and have fun with 5.01LE!

Best regards,
CS Admin

Hehe... I was seeing what the response would be...
This WAS the oldest post registered on the DUC still in the Archives for the WIN 001 forum.

interesting though, isnt it?

Me and Roy were chatting, and wondering if anyone would respond "RTFM" without reading any of the thread details.

Hello. If you really want to have fun, read through some of the other threads back then. The exact same criticisms. "Digidesign sucks, why do we need to buy their hardware. If they don't change their policy, the competition is going to eat them alive. They barely offer anything and ask way too much", etc, etc, etc.

4 and a half years later or so, not much has changed.

I found this one, that I showed Roy, it was from 2000, asked, "Are we going to get VST's anytime soon"
