Default Problem with Waves Plugins

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Waves plugins when attempting to use them in Pro Tools 8 LE in Windows 7 64 bit. I haven't been able to find any other cases of this specific problem, and was wondering if anyone else has similar issues or would have any advice on how to go about fixing this.

Here's a cropped image of the problem I'm having; http://i56.tinypic.com/2sbal9l.jpg

Basically, the grey boxes that are universal to Waves plugins that normally display text do not display anything at all, except fragmented pixels. I can click on them, and the plugins work normally besides this, but this issue makes them overly difficult to use.

Thanks!

What version of Waves are you using?
Graphic problems in Waves typically are solved with a version upgrade.

Did you get this resolved? I'm having issues in PT9 with Waves on Windows 7 64 bit.

I've seen this problem before. You should hit up Waves customer support if it is a legal copy. Most likely a graphic card problem. The newer versions don't use cpu power the same way.

They can describe a fix or tell you what you will have to upgrade on your system.

The issue that I'm having is that I can see the header of the plug but when I open it none of the settings are visable, just a big greyed out box where the settings/controls should be.

Are you making sure to right-click on the Pro Tools application and choosing 'Run As Administrator'?

Ok, I gave that a try, it did not change anything.

Ok, please test from a new administrator account and, again, use the 'Run As Administrator' when launching Pro Tools.

This will help narrow down if it's a system-wide problem or a problem just with your current admin account.

Was this ever working properly?
