Recording to an external drive via USB in LE
I just switch to PC from mac because of a stolen imac.
I have a USB external that is FAT32 format and I need to know the steps to achieve the proper format to switch to record from playback under workspace

First off, try posting in the correct section of the DUC(ie "Pro Tools LE on Mac...."). Next, be aware that USB drives are not supported at all. At the top of this(and every DUC) page, there is a link named Pro Tools Compatibility Grids where you can find a lot of info. Also, check out the sticky threads(the ones at the top that never move) as they are filled with basic info and guidance. Good luck and welcome to the DUC

actually 9 on Win 7 recommends USB over FW (make me sick to think about it)
drive probably needs to be NTFS over FAT 32
