I am in the same boat, have a 12core 2.4. And my 5.1 sessions with a plethora of plugs and get the dreded: Pro Tools ran out of CPU power. Try de-activating or removing Native plug-ins. (AAE error -9173)

Running HDN with 40G of ram. Wanted to know, how much of a difference did you notice upgrading to a 3.45 GHz CPU?

Would doing so, help running more CPU hogging plug-ins?

And detailed info on your performance increase in mixing or plug count would be greatly appreciated.

...been a while but finally found the time to get everything in and build a setup. Pretty stoked about the quality of some of the Plugin Alliance plugins. Vsc2 (i’ve owned the hardware version) and the Spl Iron sounds quite amazing. But now trying the get the Goliath HD running I find myself stuck. Pro tools runs but just no output on the Goliath. Nothing. Zero. Not on the hardware and not in the control panel?! It’s connected via hdx and usb, Pro Tools Ultimate sees the vast amount of inputs but no audio... Any tips?

What a ****ing joke to get this Goliath HD running properly. No clear info. Didn't expect this lack of guidance from a setup guide etc. Not after spending that much money.

Hdx is fine. Beast of a setup, midi still a bit well, buggy, to put it midly but processing power and timing is awesome!!

In PT the hardware is set to HDX, finder runs on it’s own output, hdx cable + usb connected to the Goliath HD, internally the Goliath com interface is set to USB...

What am I doing wrong?
