Weird feedback when I use my keyboard on PT

Hello,

I've an issue that I don't understand. I recently install Pro Tools (the last version) on my new computer (Windows 10, I got 32 GB, Intel i7, 64 bit operating system).
My problem is that when I play on my keyboard (Alesis vmini2) there's a weird kind of feedback and sometimes it's even not playing anything... but I just noticed that when I play or record (press the play button or record button) on Pro Tools the problem disappear and everything is back to normal. It's only when I pre-play it on my keyboard... I don't think it's a problem of Plug-in because I still have the problem whether I use Xpand!2 or Vacuum Pro.

Does anyone have an idea of where my problem might come from?

Hi and thanks for your response!
There's an echo sound with noise after I play the note. Also, I'm noticing that if I play what I recorded and then I pause it, this weird echo comes back but doesn't stay too long (2 sec maybe).

how is your Alesis hooked up to computer ?? USB or Midi interface ??

Maybe try disabling Local MIDI Control on the keyboard?

I don't have any local MIDI Control button on the keyboard itself (Alesis vmini 2), do you know if there's a way to disable it directly on Pro Tools?

Local Control would be a setting in a menu on the keyboard itself. Do you have any audio patched from the keyboard into Pro Tools, or just the USB? Does the keyboard have speakers? Local Control may not be the problem, but it is always a good thing to check when using a controller with VIs.
