2018.1 Runs perfectly

Finally, especially since PT12 came out, this is the most stable version I’ve used in years. A couple days and several hours of use I haven’t had any crashes, CPU errors, assertion errors, or anything. Runs smooth.
I can’t honestly remember the last time PT has been this stable.
Ok, I hope I don’t jinx it now. lol
I’m on Windows 10 Btw.

I'm waiting 2018.1.2 comes out and fixes some of the new release bugs.

It's an incredible DAW.. i am thoroughly enjoying 2018.1 and i have also noticed i am getting more stability at 64 samples than before, or at 128 samples at 92k ( i used to have to go to 256)

Midi just keeps getting better with these small but important workflow updates.

Haven't had any crashes yet in 2018 either :)

TNM, did you get a chance to check / test the Gate crash at 88.2k you were getting .. just a friendly reminder !!!

I haven't as it's a big job, it's every single classic avid effect, all of them at rates above 48k.

So i need to devote an hour block to go through them one by one and restart each time etc.

I am having the strangest experience with support on the matter, they asked me to provide the crash files, they answered within an hour, now it's been 8 days and nothing after i replied telling them i send the automated crash report on every single crash, i always "send to avid", so they have them all already, and did they want me to do anything else, and i haven't heard. So weird.
But if it's fixed in this one, kudos. will see.

they might be looking for your Crash Logs .. !!

on a mac .. Home Folder / Library / Logs / Avid .. there are time stamped dlogs in there .. there is also a CrashLog Folder .. is this what they asked for ???

and as far as the Gate Crash, i thought you could do it with the Gate and see if that was good or not .. would be telling and i cannot get it to crash right now with my Gate Crash Test Session ..

no rush obviously, curious when you do the test .. standing by .. maybe drinking a BRew while waiting .. and order a pizza .. !!!

No because if the gate is fixed it doesn't mean they all are

D Verb, Comp, EQ, everything is affected.. the only ones not affected are Avid commercial plugins like the pro stuff, impact etc

it's just before noon here, i'll get it done soon.

oh yeah .. down under .. upsidedown !! .. i have the gate and dverb in my test, i will add the comp and eq and channel strip for that matter ..
