ProRes 422 cant be imported
Hi all, every time I try to import Pro Res 422 proxy video to my session, PT says that there is missing codec. The same video can be opened with quicktime, and converted from FCP 7.
I have to convert the video to H264. My MAC is OS 10.9.3, 3G 8core Intel Xeon ES, with 64g 1066mhz DDR3 ram. My Protools is 2HDX 11.1.3. I am using Blackmagic Ultra Studio 4K as Protools video output. Sent from my SM-G5308W using Tapatalk |

ProRes 422 cant be imported
Quote:
Did you install Apple's codecs? https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1396?locale=en_US I get an issue trying to open Prores with 16 tracks of audio. It really only has 2 tracks but the Blackmagic deck it comes from gives it 16 in the header and there's no way I've found to hack the header and edit it. So pro tools refuses to load it unless I too transcode it to something else. Not 100% certain it the 16 tracks causing the problem but that's the only thing I can see that may be causing the problem.

Re: ProRes 422 cant be imported
The codecs have been installed but the rendered prores mov still can't be imported. It only has 2 audio tracks.

Re: ProRes 422 cant be imported
I am having endless issues with ProRes in ProTools. When I try to import, I get the "unable to import video" error message. From that point, I am unable to import ANY video until I restart the computer and zap the PRAM. PT support is unable to give me a fix. I've tried trashing every kind of pref to no avail. Disappointing.
