Firewire drive transfer
Has anyone experienced freezes (the Finder quits, then I need to restart) while transfering large (~600MB to 7GB) files/folders from or to a firewire drive?? My system crashes most of the time ... G4 533 640MB RAM (I have disk cache set to 512, everything else optimal for PT), Maxtor 1394 firewire 80 Gig ext. HD (5400rpm IDE)
Thanks all!

Re: Firewire drive transfer
Somewhere else I heard about this, and oddly enough, (whoever it was) it was fixed by using Western Digital drivers.
You might just want to try updating the Maxtor drivers, or maybe apple??? anyone else???
