Default PT8 non responsive for minutes!! after minimize to view desktop

Hi,

Totally repeatable. When i leave PT and go to use other apps, like toast/Safari etc. when i come back and try to play PT it is totally non responsive

Anything i try to do is like its totally dead. then after several minutes everything i tried to do happens all ay once like the mouse is flying around doing all these tasks at 1000 miles an hour

Yesterday after 2 days of updating to Leopard and PT8 i was getting total freeze of PT with the beachball. after 5-10 minutes i force quit. this could be related?

Have removed all plugins except PT8 included one's and the very latest compatible of Sonnox/Waves/Brainworx/McDsp/URS/Soundtoys.

I usually invoke PT from minimize by using the control 24, either the edit or mix button to open either window! I noticed that when i do this the window opens, But when i try to do anything it zooms back to the dock and then opens again. (never did this with 7.4)

Any ideas why PT is like going into a deep sleep

Chris

Chris
I actually have something like that happen with PT 7.4 and Leopard.

If I switch out of Pro Tools then into another app, then back, PT freezes and sometimes must be force quit. It's like app switching is broke for me. And I just use a keyboard and a mouse.
