Default PT 7.4 Session has become slow and unresponsive..

Working on a bunch of sessions part of an album project, and since upgrading to 7.4 one of the sessions has become a pain in the ass to navigate/mix..

The whole session is kinda unresponsive.. moving faders is a bit tedious and hard to move in small increments. Just scrolling up and down the edit window and placing the cursor is always slow..

Have tried creating a new session and importing the data from the old session to see if that fixes it but it's still the same..

Any ideas?

Regards

beauchampy

Beauchampy,

By any chance do you have Strike, Xpand!, or Ozone on the sluggish sessions?

Greg

nope, none of those plugins. closest thing i've used is probably trash but been using that on countless sessions with no problems..

i'm on 7.3 but had a similar problem with some sessions. the 4 tunes i was working with kept growing in track/plug count. eventually, they started doin' exactly what you are describing. i opened some older/smaller sessions and they did not behave as such. i only had 1gb of ram and my page file was above 800. ordered and slapped in 2gb more of ram. page file still up there, but everything runs like a champ now. for what it's worth...
