Anybody using the Apogee Ambus HD card?

getting ready to move our 3rd system up to HD. were thinking of using our ad-8000 with the hd ambus card.
just wondering if anybody is using this card and how are things going.
the 3rd system will be a dual 2gig g5 pt hd2 pcie. Thanks in advance.

Ambus HD has not had a firmware update for PT7 yet. X-HD has been updated and works flawlessly. Apogee just has to prioritize this for it to happen. Ambus HD works just fine with 6.9 but is fairly unstable with 7 - rebooting the interface seems to fix the problem, but that gets old really fast. Apogee says that it's going to happen and that Ambus is not dead, but now that PT7 is what, 4 months old, I am beginning to wonder. Please call or email them and register your need for the Ambus HD firmware update for PT7.

Otherwise, you can't beat it. An AD-8000 or Trak2 still sounds worlds better than a 192.

Thanks Muzoid. We did talk to the Apogee folks yesterday and let them know that were looking for the Ambus card to work with PT 7. Lets hope they follow through and get it done.
