doubt you can do it unless you can get an adat optical out of the pres. Just sell that roland piece of garbage and buy the 200 dollar behringer unit with 8 pres and an adat out... so awesome... What an investment.

YES YOU CAN sync them using the optical or coaxial. However, if you want the clocks(audio) to lock the sample rate has to be the same on both . I think the ROLANDS highest rate is 16 bit at 44.1 or something like that. Youll also have to lock up the MTC. You can sync them without digital clock but they will slip out of time on you if you have a long project(experience here). I have a 2480 synced up to my digi without any problems. Hope this helps. You could get another I/O as ZULUBEAR suggested. It just depends on how you are using the ROLAND ! Your ROLAND only has 8 tracks, thus youll only be able to transfer 8. Not sure what you trying to do here.

I was interested in being able to record 16 tracks at once. I recently recorded a band and was limited to the 8 tracks. and only 4 balanced inputs. What is the model of the berringer unit. that sounds like the best option. Thanks Ian
